Riding Camps
Check back for dates of
holiday and winter
camps.
Spring Horsemanship Workshop
This will be held every other Sunday from 12pm-5pm March 13th, 27th, April 10th.
We will do the necessary ground work to prepare our horses for each session.
This will be a total 15 hours spread out over 4 weeks to allow time for both you and
your horse to absorb and practice the information presented in each session. A
commitment must be made to all 3 sessions, limited to 8 riders cost is $400 per
rider. We will do both arena and trail work.
Desensitization and obstacle training will include natural and man made obstacles,
jumping logs, mounting from the fence, putting on a rain slicker while mounted,
firecrackers, shooting while mounted, and being able to throw a rope and drag a
log while mounted. This class is designed to push dedicated horsemanship
students to expand their personal comfort level to build a more trusting relationship
with your equine partner.
We will also work on properly collecting out horses, riding our horses in a true
frame, developing throttle control that doesn't rely on rein pressure, separating our
horse fore and hind quarters and positioning ourselves and our horses to preform
lateral movements.
Check out or Clinics page to find out about how your group can customize a
private clinic to meet the needs of the group.

March 19
10am-2pm This is a demo to discuss how the #1 buzz word in the horse world
really applies to all of us that make a living in the equine industry. We don't all have
to use an orange stick or wiggle a special rope or use training techniques that
rhyme or disguise theirselves as games, but if we take a minute to consider the
horses point of view life could be a little easier. It is easy to forget about the
horses instinctual needs because of the need to succeed in the show pen to keep
stalls full and bills payed. But, if we can take a small step back and a little time to
think, we can take huge steps forward. Come see how our program of starting
colts and working with problem horses can put you back in the winners circle. Free
Lunch provided. RSVP required, professional equestrians only please.
